Elon Musk, the 2021 Person of the Year for Time Magazine, is the leader of Tesla and SpaceX and the richest man in the world. Edward Felsenthal, editor-in-chief and chief executive of Time Magazine, wrote in the prestigious title, “Person of the Year is a measure of influence. Very few people have been able to exert more influence on the earth, perhaps even on the outside world than the mask. In 2021, Elon Musk not only emerged as the richest man in the world, but also as the greatest example of the great change that has taken place in our society.


In addition to Tesla, Musk is the co-founder and CEO of the spacecraft maker SpaceX. He also won the title of the world’s richest man this year.


Note: He began his career in 1927 as the Man of the Year, which is now a tradition.


This influential American publication writes about Elon Musk, “He is the richest man in the world, but he has no home of his own but has recently started saving his wealth.  He launches satellites into orbit, using solar energy;  A car is a car that is its own creation, does not burn any fuel and the driver does not need much.  The stock market fluctuates with the gesture of his finger.  Time has not forgotten Elon Musk’s controversial presence on social media.  The magazine commented that his personality, his presence in various emerging technology sectors and the success of Tesla and SpaceX over the years have earned him the title of Person of the Year.


Musk was born in 1981 in South Africa. The source of the Musk family’s wealth was mining.  After leaving South Africa and settling in the United States, Musk played a major role in the rise of PayPal.

1.) Zip2- In 1995, Musk, Kimbal, and Greg Kouri founded web software company Zip2 with funds from angel investors. Compaq acquired Zip2 for 307 million dollars in cash in February 1999. Musk received 22 million dollars for his 7percent share.


2.) X.com and PayPal- In 1999, Musk co-founded X.com, an online financial services and e-mail payment company. In 2002, PayPal was acquired by eBay for 1.5 billion dollars in stock, of which Musk the largest shareholder with 11.7% received over 100 million dollars.
