The lost ancient city

The lost ancient city

Human history dates back to the Stone Age. Man, the best creature in creation, is taking the world forward. The world has gone through four ice ages and four inter-ice ages so far. In every age there are some changes in the body shape of the animals that survive in the warmer regions. This shape, like all other animals, has occurred in humans. Java humans and Peking humans lived in the first phase of that ice age about 1 million years ago. Neanderthal human skeletons have been found in various parts of the world. Human civilization stands today in the evolution of 1 million years. Many cities of human civilization have been lost in the course of this evolution. Today’s discussion about some such cities.

★1.Petra of Jordan

The city is located in southwestern Jordan. The name is Petra. The city was first discovered in 1812. The city was built by cutting stones in the mountains. And Petra means stone. According to historians, Petra was the capital of the Nabataean kingdom from 400 to 200 BC. The city of Petra was extremely secure and its people were economically very prosperous.

The city was originally built in a cave. In some places it is only 12 feet wide. The city was surrounded by lofty hills, and in the hills there were endless waterfalls. Petra controlled Gaza in the west, Basra and Damascus in the north, Aquaba and Lewis along the Red Sea, and all major trade routes to the Persian Gulf through the desert. During the Roman Empire, when maritime trade flourished, Petra was quickly destroyed. In 106 AD, the Romans occupied it and annexed it to the province of Petraia. Petra was occupied by Muslims in the 7th century and the Crusaders in the 12th century. From then on, the city began to be destroyed.

★2.Jericho Inca civilization

Jericho is the oldest city in the world, just as the Inca civilization is the richest and most famous civilization in the world. It is thought that the ancestors of those who lived in Jericho were nomads. Leaving the nomadic life, they settled in Jericho. At one time all the people of the world were nomads. People began to live in places where wealth was plentiful. This is how the ancient cities were built.

Many cities have been born on this earth since creation. These ancient lost civilizations are still alive in the minds of people with their own mysterious stories. The city of Jericho, which is more than 700 years old, was discovered by the English archaeologist Dr. Kathleen Tell. This underground city of Jericho was surrounded by a wall. The city was located in an oasis north of the Dead Sea. However, as far as is known after the discovery of the city, it seems that the city had a population of 2 to 3 thousand people. This very small town was 284 yards long and 175 yards wide. It is also known from the city of Jericho that at that time houses were built using clay bricks and lime.

★3.Azlan of ancient America

Ajlan is the lost city of one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Aztec civilization was formed around this city. Aztec civilization is said to be one of the most advanced civilizations of ancient America. Because no one has found any existence of these cities even today. No location identified. The word azlan means the land of the north, from which the Aztecs came. In some myths, Azlan is called the ‘heavenly city’. But the Aztecs once left Azlan and moved to the mainland of Mexico. The reason was Aztec’s Chikomojatkara.

They were the elite class. The god Huitijilopochli instructed that no one but the Chikomojatkars could claim their Aztecs. And so the Aztecs first moved from Azlan to Tenochitalan. It was May 24, 1064 AD. And from that day Aztec is counted as the first solar year. Although no trace of the town of Azlan has ever been found, it is claimed that Azlan was formed on an island surrounded by a sea shore. The problem that archaeologists have encountered in searching for Azlan is exactly how far north Azlan was.

★4.Nabataean city

The city of Nabataean is historically very important. This is because the historical Nabataean civilization developed in this city. This civilization has come under more discussion due to the special analysis and research of the researchers. The city of Nabataean is thought to have been founded in the sixth century BC in present-day Jordan and the surrounding area. Most of the structures in the city have been carved out of stone.

The gigantic installations are an incredible sight to see how aesthetically pleasing the architectural style of the installations is. Tourists are still amazed to see the stone carved cities. Archaeologists and historians have failed to come up with a scientific argument for the construction style of the Nabataean civilization. How these giant rock formations have been built by cutting down the mountains so long ago is truly a wonder. However, the artistic structure of the Nabataean civilization is not the only wonder. The fact that there is no written history of the civilization of this city also gives rise to wonder among historians. The magnificent Nabataean civilization was conquered by the Roman Emperor Trajan around 106 BC. Then all the heroic tales of the celebrities of this civilization were gradually lost in the Greek-Roman culture.

★5.Mysterious Atlantis

Atlantis is one of the most unsolved mysteries in the world. The Greek philosopher Plato first mentioned Atlantis 355 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. About 10-12 thousand years ago, this country, located near the Atlantic Ocean, had a very advanced civilization. Many believe that Atlantis was near the Greek island of Crete. Then one day the cataclysm comes.

The city sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean overnight as a result of a terrible earthquake and strong tidal wave. Many books, stories and articles have been written about this. Several movies have been made, such as ‘Atlantis: The Lost Continent’ and ‘Atlantis: The Lost Empire’. According to Plato, Atlantis was a paradise. There was no shortage of fruits and vegetables in the very fertile soil. There was no shortage of mineral resources in this state which was rich in extraordinary natural beauty. Atlantis was destroyed 800 to 500 years before the birth of Jesus Christ.

★6.Benin city of prosperity in the Middle Ages

The city of Benin, which reached its peak of prosperity in the Middle Ages, was built by the Edo people. In the 13th century, a European traveler visited this Nigerian city. There was a huge highway to enter the city. That highway in Benin was very wide. In all, there were about 30 major roads in the city. The palace was spread over a huge area. The palace was similar in size to Harlem in New York.

And this whole palace was surrounded by walls. The whole city was surrounded by walls. Here people lived in different areas. Which was surrounded by walls. These areas were again interconnected. So the whole of Benin was surrounded by a single wall. In all, these walls were spread over about six and a half thousand square kilometers. The total length was about 16 thousand kilometers. The Guinness Book of World Records in 1974 also recognized it as the largest “earthen work” ever built before the mechanical age. The British, led by Harry Rao, invaded and destroyed Benin.

★7.The groundbreaking Khmer

The anchor civilization was built around the Khmer city. This civilization is still shining in the pages of history. It is also considered one of the most mysterious cities of all time. The Anchor Empire is also known as the Khmer Civilization. The architectural style of this civilization is admired. The steel towers for the artillery in the central palace of this empire and the magnificent works of art engraved on it are reminiscent of one of the strongest empires in the pre-industrial world. There is much debate as to where the origins of the Khmer civilization came from.

However, most analysts agree that the ancient kings of Cambodia built the Khmer civilization. The civilization spread to Vietnam, Thailand and Laos around 500 BC. ‘Anchor’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘city’. This civilization has gained immortality only because of its architectural style. One of the aspects of this civilization is that it was one of the earliest communication civilizations. The main problem of the land communication system was the construction of bridges over various canals and rivers. The whole civilization is lost in the abyss of time.

★8.Machu Picchu city of the Inca civilization

The Inca civilization is one of the richest and most famous civilizations in the history of the world. Machu Picchu is a modern city lost to the Incas. It is also called Suryanagari. Historians’ research has revealed all the unknown information about this city, but they have not been able to solve many mysteries till now. Many believe that Machu Picchu in Peru is the most famous landmark of the Inca civilization, known as the “Lost City of the Incas.” Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, is located on a hilltop in the Peruvian part of the Andes Mountains. Now, of course, the name of the whole mountain has become Machu Picchu. The location of the city there was extremely secure. As difficult as it was for others to find this city, no one will be able to take advantage of it even if they attack the city after finding it. On one side of the mountain, at the foot of the Urubamba River, about 600 meters below the summit, it merges into the foothills. On the other hand, another mountain called Huana Pichu has risen a few thousand feet higher. So the city was naturally quite safe on both sides. For this reason, the city is also called the ancient fortified city of the Incas.

WORLD STORIES

The city of Machu Picchu is located at an altitude of about 2,400 meters above sea level. In other words, this city is located at almost twice the height of our country’s highest peak Tajin Dong (1231 meters)! The biggest mystery is how they built an entire city at such a height. Again many years ago. Machu Picchu was built about 550 years ago, around 1450. One hundred years later, the Spaniards invaded the Inca civilization. Destroyed most of their cities. But what is surprising is that they did not find the city of Machu Picchu!  Meanwhile, the city was gradually abandoned due to lack of people. For hundreds of years, people have not been able to find this historic city. Then, in 1911, Hiram Bingham, an American historian, discovered the city of Machu Picchu. The Inca civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Many traces of this civilization continue to arouse the curiosity of the people even today. Many myths have been written about this civilization. What is the secret thrill of hidden treasures in Inca civilization? The answer to this question is – yes. And naturally, the treasure hunters are desperate to unravel the mystery. The use of gold is very common in Inca civilization. And that is why in their civilization the use of gold can be seen in temples, idols inside temples. All these are made of pure gold. The everyday utensils of the gold-rich Inca were also made of gold.

Over the past 400 years, archaeologists and gold diggers have unearthed the Incas. Most investigators have failed. That is to say, it cannot be said that nothing matched. According to various sources, the Incas had sunk all their gold deep into a lake at the top of the Andes Mountains, between Peru and Bolivia.
